So what does Marc Adamus LIE about, anyway? A primer for newcomers.

So what does Marc lie about, anyway?

Those of you who haven’t followed Marc Adamus LIES 2.0 (or 1.0), may be wondering exactly what our “grievances” are. What has Marc Adamus lied about? Here’s a couple things, to start off with:

1.     Marc Adamus LIES, especially by omission, about the amount of Photoshop used in the creation of his images.

Marc Adamus uses an enormous amount of Photoshop to create his images. There’s no use denying it, because Marc boasts about it himself, these days. Not publicly, on his website (as would be appropriate), but on private forums where he and his fans can have a good time celebrating Marc’s Photoshop “greatness”. Go to his website. There is nothing there about the huge amount of Photoshop used in his images. Just a terribly vague manifesto called “Photoshop in today’s age” (read my analysis of that here), that basically allows Marc to do anything he wants and admit nothing.

2.     Marc Adamus has falsely crowned himself as the finest landscape photographer alive.

Marc Adamus has repeatedly made claims such as “Marc has been acclaimed as one of the most talented artists of his generation” or “he is arguably the most talented photographer working today”. Both these statements, and any similar ones, are utterly, 100% false. If Marc was that good, don’t you think he’d have the following:

-Art hanging in major galleries (Marc has no images in ANY galleries)
-Reviews in major newspapers (Marc has never been reviewed by any major newspaper)
-Reviews by art critics (Marc’s work has never been reviewed by any critics)
-Books written entirely by Marc Adamus (Marc has never written a book, despite repeated promises to do so)

That being said, what are the sources of Marc’s claims, then? Simple. Ignorant losers on online forums and “critiquing” sites such as photo.net. These losers don’t care about Marc, except that they want to be like Marc and share in his “fame”. One of these imbeciles writes “Marc, you are the best that has ever been or ever will be!”, and Marc scurries off and writes filthy lies about him being the best ever.

3.     Marc Adamus LIES about his so-called adventures.

Marc Adamus has repeatedly claimed incredible adventures in the backcountry, replete with ridiculous claims of many miles of off-trail travel, photographing in an glacier cave while dodging falling chunks of ice the size of cars, or canoeing upstream on a raging river. Needless to say, none of these “adventures” have ever been documented in any manner, except by Marc’s lying pen. How convenient. What about the real adventure stories, such as those you read about in Outside magazine? Fully verified by photography, video, or other individuals, of course. Marc Adamus stretches the truth and simply invents many things, so he can’t afford to have outside verification.

4.     Marc Adamus claims to be a full-time professional photographer, when in fact he makes almost all his money by teaching photo tours & workshops to his swooning fanbase.

Workshops and photo tours are SCAMS. Real photographers sell images, not teach others how to “take” images. Those who can’t do, teach. You will note that all professional photography associations of any importance require their members to make 100% of their income from actual photography. Workshops don’t count. That’s why the self-crowned “best photographer in the world” is not a member of Canon or Nikon Professional Services. Neither is he a member of Canon “Explorers of Light”, a group of photographers considered to be some of the finest Canon-using landscape photographers.

5.     Marc Adamus spreads all the above LIES profusely all over the Internet.

Marc Adamus is busily spreading all the LIES I’ve covered above all over the Internet, in an attempt to influence his online image and create his own reality. Everywhere you find a bogus “interview” of Marc Adamus, or a podcast, or a brief bio, you will find LIES such as “Marc has been acclaimed as one of the most talented landscape artists of his generation.” Marc thinks that if he spreads these LIES around continuously, they will drown the negative truth about him and create a false persona that the whole world will believe.

Why is Marc Adamus' final goal? Vanity & fame, NOT a sustainable business!

Marc Adamus' Goals

Remember when Marc Adamus LIES 1.0 said that Marc's only goal was to be famous:

(our thanks to Marc Adamus LIES 1.0 for doing the background work on these Marc Adamus claims, back when it was still possible to dig this stuff up)

As it turned out, they were right! Remember to ignore the cries of the THUGS & MORONS. We're talking about a liar who has branded himself as (arguably) "the most talent photographer today",  and has expressed a desire to be "the most recognized and influential landscape photographer of his time".

If any other random dude made these claims, he'd be laughed off the stage! But Marc can say anything he wants, because his followers, as well as all internet photography groupies, are really just a bunch of fat, vain white (mostly) old men who have comfortable middle class careers, but desire fame & recognition. The other group of fans is the young punks like Floris van Breugel. The sort of "photography" practiced by these losers has nothing to do with enjoying taking images, enjoying "wilderness" or the outdoors", or wishing to "share my experiences with the public". These are all lies spewed by THUGS & MORONS, because they can't exactly admit they just want to be famous.

And Marc Adamus is the original fame whore! Back before we were around, he felt OK making claims like "wanting to be recognized as the best". Now he is simply saying that he is the best, amid the chorus of agreement from losers on photo.net or Naturephotographers.net. The Marc Adamus strategy is simple. Fill as many forums and websites with his lies as possible, so that any possible shred of truth from Marc Adamus LIES 2.0 is overwhelmed by a tsunami of pro-Marc Adamus lies. So far, it hasn't worked. That could change at any time, given Marc's maniacal desire for fame, and his THUGS' desire to kill or torture us.

But, dear readers, Marc Adamus LIES 2.0 is ready to take it the the end to fulfill our mission. Stay tuned for more material soon!

Marc Adamus and Commercial Fine Art: another hype and LIE filled site you should steer clear of.

Marc Adamus & Commercial Fine Art: just more LIES

Nothing but bullshit: Marc Adamus & Commercial Fine Art

Commercial Fine Art is the latest attempt by scam artist Marc Adamus to cement his dominance in the photography world. Like Lord Sauron in Lord of the Rings, Marc Adamus wills to dominate all photography.

And he’s not satisifed with a comfortable career that helps him support a wife and kids. That was never Marc’s intention. Marc desperately desires to be famous and well-known. He’s wanted it for years. People who knew him in high school knows that he was always a fame-lusting shit.

In many ways, Commercial Fine Art is a culmination of Marc’s efforts to dominate photography. It is a project designed to cast Marc Adamus in a respectable light. However, it fails in many ways:

1. It fails to inspire confidence in prospective clients
With the same “me-too” bullshit as so many other sites, the bogus “virtual galleries” that are instantly recognizable as the work of scam artists, and the trumpeting, egotistical delivery, it comes across as an entirely boastful, prideful, and deceitful website. To say nothing of the names that are featured on there.

2. The blog is an utter failure
The Commercial Fine Art blog is an utter failure. Random people will not be attracted to Marc Adamus’ pathetic rationizations for how Photoshop is part of today’s workflow, and no one will be impressed by the fact that the members are simply commenting on each other posts constantly. Blogs are supposed to feature quality material that is exciting to read, not a bunch of re-hashed, self-serving bullshit.

3. Too many members
Apart from the usual, hoary lies we’ve all heard before, like “some of the best photographers in the world”, and so forth, there are too many members on Commercial Fine Art. It’s impossible to keep the operation pointed in a single, focused direction when Marc and whoever else administers it picks up turkeys from all around the world.

4. The proven Marc Adamus kiss of death
Marc Adamus is a proven killer for any website or blog. Period. Every site he has joined has eventually experienced losses in readership and a long-term trend toward failure. The inclusion of Marc Adamus indicates a preference for bullshit and lying over honesty and real material. Just ask Mountain Trail Photo. They actually ended up closing their blog down entirely after Marc’s egotistical, lie & bullshit filled post that attracted negative reactions from all over the Internet.

5. No actual functionality on the site.
In the end, Commercial Fine Art is no more than one more self-aggrandizing blog. There is no real functionality here. Want to actually buy a print? You’ll still have to go thru the old song & dance of contacting whichever scam artist you want to buy it from. Worse yet, Commercial Fine Art lied and said that they didn’t include any functionality because they “custom prepare” all orders. Yeah, right.

These are just a sample of the many problems with Commercial Fine Art. None should be a surprise. A LIE can only be so big and complicated before it starts to fall apart from its own weight. No amount of window dressing, fancy graphics, or bullshit will sustain lies and dubious statements forever. The public eventually sees right through it. Your best bet is to purchase fine art from a REAL photographer who can give you the service and selection you deserve, without the self-serving bullshit and distasteful, insulting LIES you’ll get from most of the Commercial Fine Art membership. Our verdict: this is a SCAM; pass on this.

Why THUGS & MORONS are so desperate to copy Marc Adamus images, among others.

Why copy Marc Adamus photos?

We have asked ourselves this question, and we’re sure others have, too. Why are the THUGS and MORONS so desperate to copy Marc Adamus (and other notable photographers)? Why? Doesn’t a real artist create his own visions?

It turns out that these turds aren’t artists. Of course not. What they are is LOSERS who desperately desire to be famous. Fame requires talent (or a special sort of stupidity, but that’s not the fame they’re looking for). Since these bozos have no talents whatsoever, they feel that stealing someone else’s artwork and pretending it’s their own work is how they feel the fame will be had. Completely untrue, of course. The public looks at someone like Chris Moore MD or Miles Morgan and shake their heads in disgust. “Liar”. “Thief”. “Fraud”. “Pathetic imbecile”. These, and more, are the feelings the general public has for these disgusting LOSERS. And that’s as it should be. No one should celebrate a thief or a fraud. The idiots who comment on their bullshit on Flickr/photo.net/photosig are other idiots who don’t care that the image was stolen or lies were spewed about how the image was made. It’s, literally, a den of thieves.

So it’s quite clear why THUGS/MORONS like “Captain” Miles Morgan or Chris Moore MD want to copy someone like Marc Adamus. In spite of his personality flaws, Marc Adamus is an artist (ignore gasps of horror from the THUGS & MORONS). Yes, he is. He might lie about his fame, bullshit about his “adventures”, and fail to protect his work from theft,  but he’s still an artist. Just not as good an artist as he thinks. Pretty good, but still.

So anyway, THUGS & MORONS slobber over what they believe is Marc Adamus’ incredible fame. They “wants it” for themselves. Since they have no vision, no ability to create art of their own, they figure, “Oh, I’ll just buy a bunch of fancy gear, copy (steal) all those cool images I see online, and I’ll be famous too!”. We dare anyone to provide a valid rebuttal to this. The SCUM THUGS out there, the thieves and imbeciles like Miles Morgan and Chris Moore MD, know why they are stealing, and it’s for fame.

A real artist may copy some classic images to learn techniques, but his goal is to create his own vision. Not to replicate someone else’s vision. That is theft, and fraud. And ignore the bullshit, preposterous claims such as “you can’t copyright nature scenes”. No one has said you can. What is copyright-able, is the artist’s specific interpretation of a scene. The law clearly says this. Dozens of IP attorneys say this. We have linked to some of these pages. The THUGS & SCUM MORONS will not be convinced by this, however. They want to steal, and to hell with all the evidence that stealing is wrong. This is fame we’re talking about, damn it! Who cares if a professional photographer’s feathers are ruffled by the theft of his images, or if his family goes cold because he doesn’t make enough that month to pay the heating bill. The Fame of frauds like Miles Morgan or Chris Moore MD is simply more important.

Marc Adamus quote: “Never satisfied with campgrounds or camping-designated areas, I took off down an unmarked dirt road and then a jeep trail…”.

A Marc Adamus LIE/Quote

The Marc Adamus LIES 2.0 MANIFESTO PSA series

This quote was retrieved from the Marc Adamus MANIFESTO. The pertinent section was reviewed here on Marc Adamus LIES 2.0.

So much for Marc Adamus’ “concern” for wilderness or natural areas. Just to look like someone completely obsessed with wilderness, he trampled on virgin ground to make a point:

Marc Adamus is so good and holy that ordinary, developed camping spots, good enough for us mere mortals, isn’t good enough for someone who “At only 29 he is arguably the most talented photographer working today.” [actual quote from Marc Adamus; read more here]

With this kind of evidence, straight from Marc Adamus’ big mouth (understatement of the century, actually), who can possibly believes that Marc Adamus gives a flying crap about nature or wilderness? All he cares about is sounding the trumpets in honor of himself.
And here is our PSA regarding this matter:
