Marc Adamus and Commercial Fine Art: only the latest scam in an attempt to expand his slimy tentacles all over photography

Marc Adamus and Commercial Fine Art

We have been aware of Commercial Fine Art for some time now. Our initial instinct was that it was one big fraud, and our opinion hasn’t changed. In fact, it has merely been confirmed over and over as this monstrosity spreads its venom around and recruits more THUGS, LOSERS, FRAUDS, and the like.

Needless to say, anything involving Marc Adamus comes out smelling like shit by default. But this particular fraud has a couple different tricks up its sleeves. Of particular note is the so-called “Virtual Gallery”. We like to translate this to “we really have no prints or photos of any prints, so we’ll post JPEGs in fake galleries and pretend it’s all real”. Nice. The usual Mark Metternich type bullshit. It seems to be spreading like a virus…all THUGS and MORONS are now noticing that you can just pretend to have prints hanging on walls, instead of going to all the trouble of actually making prints and photographing them. This is fraud and false advertising, of course, but don’t that stop anyone; just insist it’s a “virtual” gallery if asked, and wink and nod at everyone else.

Notice that they have no store or checkout system (but Commercial Fine Art is making up lies about having to custom-prepare each order, yeah right), pathetic Paypal for payments (who the heck uses Paypal for real, high volume standalone e-commerce?). Half of the links don’t even work. The “artist” profiles page doesn’t even display properly. We’re wondering if the LLC is really registered or they just went the Mark Metternich route and just made it all up. Of course, there’s yet another blog filled with vain pretense and bullshit (“drawn” to this scene, compelled to photograph this “secluded” area, and the like).

The very fact that LOSERS like Roman Johnston have been recruited screams that this is all a scam. Roman Johnston is an IT worker in Portland. He is NOT a fine art photographer. There are more examples of this on Commercial Fine Art. We'll be talking about Commercial Fine Art for a long time. Stay tuned for more about this fraud-filled venture (Well, anything connected to Marc is F-R-A-U-D.

  1. So, ever since the fact that your proposal to Marc Adamus was proven beyond any doubt to be make-believe on yoir part and henceforth legally impossible, have you considered anything other than these childish rants? Also, I was unaware that one needed a specific qualification to produce art, particularly of the fine variety. Care to elaborate on what type of artistic approval process you see as necessary? Oh, and when you figure that out why don't you explain that to all other talented artists that can no longer make 'fine art' or follow their dreams because they work other jobs.

And last, it would appear to most anyone who has seen this site that the creator is nothing more than a jealous imbecile who has no understanding of either art or the business of photography and actually enjoys the emmense amount of negative opinions they direct to themself.

  2. Childish is right! Pure juvenile. Reminds me of what some spoiled snot nosed teen would do! I would be totally surprised if it wasn't. If it isn't, it sure is someone with a mentality of one, that is for sure.

  3. Well I would like to thank him for pointing people in Commercial Fine Art's direction.

Everyone knows the goofball that runs this site is a raving lunatic, so any reasonable person who finds out about CFA via this will see it in the correct light (one of sanity).

So thanks and keep up the good work!!! If you keep it up we might put you on the marketing team! :)

  4. Why is everyone getting so upset? I think this blog is the truth. I just read a lot of content on here and did not see a crazy person but someone very frustrated with the downfall of photography by people like Mark Adamus and others. About time someone stepped up and spoke out. I say keep up the great work!

  5. They are upset because they're in the limelight, and not enjoying it! This is not the sort of fame they desired.

And to Roman Johnston, don't worry, we have a lot of "marketing" headed your way. Gloat while you can.

  6. Ah....no gloating at all. Just pointing out the obvious. :)

The reality of it all is that I have to get sucked into your drama for you to hold any power over me. I don't know if you can tell, but I ain't all that upset. If you need to do this to feel better about yourself, KNOCK YOURSELF OUT! (but you have to admit...it says BUCKET LOADS about you)

Me, I will hope that some day you find a place in your head to grow past this, till then even I will find this all a humorous place to waste a few brain cells....a lot like watching South Park.

  7. Evidently, your childish behavior seems to be having no effect on anything. Yes, that's right. Marc is still producing the most amazing landscape photography, filling all his tours as quickly as he can list them and working with dozens of major publications that love his work. How does it feel to see proof you are an idiot? How does it feel to be laughed at as the only moron out there who has questioned Marc's reputation, his integrity or his business? Ready to change you ways? Get help? Find a girlfriend yet? I hope so, because the world DOES know the truth.
